Did you know that cranes are among the oldest living birds? And according to the National Audubon Society, the link between Sandhill Cranes and the Platte River is believed to date to the river’s origins some 10,000 to 12,000 years ago.

Every year from late February to early April, over 600,000 sandhill cranes come to the Platte River valley on their northward migration. What a sight!

Celebrate these beautiful, graceful birds with my crane necklace, now available at the Golden Spike Tower & Visitor Center.
