The Secret Room’s Emmy Style Lounge

I participated in the Secret Room’s Emmy Style Lounge on August 27th, 2010 at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA as a silver level sponsor.  It was an amazing event organized by the wonderful Amy Boatwright and Ralph George and I can’t wait for the next one!

As a silver level sponsor, I was able to:

  • Participate in the Editor’s Choice gift bags.  These were given to various nationwide magazines so keep an eye out for ways to win one of these goodie bags!
  • Be AT the style lounge to meet Hollywood celebrities, such as Kevin Sorbo, Eric Roberts, Cheech Marin, Chase Masterson, etc!  It was an amazing experience and they were all so nice and genuine.  I also gave out lots and lots of my stainless steel and bamboo pendants which were a hit!
  • Interviews, lots of interviews!

I’m currently sorting through all of the photos, and will be posting them in the near future.  The trip went very well, and it looks like I’ll be busy for quite a while (and I LOVE being busy!).

A couple articles about the event:
Emmys 2010: Secret Room Steps Up for Gifting by Chase Masterson (Hollywood Today)
“Melissa Lew’s Asian designs were an absolute hit and were snatched up by guests upon sight.”

2010 Emmy Awards Gifting Suites by Zorianna Kit (Huffington Post)

And here’s an interview by Mingle Media TV.  Enjoy!

I very much enjoyed being out in LA and am looking forward to the next event!

*My online store is currently all SOLD OUT thanks to my wonderful customers!  Keep an eye out for a completely new line of jewelry – it was a hit in LA, so I hope you all love it!*

Introducing Resilience

Resilience is my new line of eco-friendly jewelry inspired by my love of nature and the beauty of the bamboo plant. In Chinese symbolism, bamboo symbolizes longevity because of its resilience. It is durable, strong, flexible, and can endure some of the harshest conditions. Resilience is both eye-catching and shows the wearer’s dedication to the environment. Each piece is approximately 1”x2” and comes with a 24” stainless steel ball chain. Pendants are made from stainless steel and bamboo; stainless steel is 100% recyclable and bamboo is a sustainable plant. Take a peek! I will be frequently adding new designs.
